PRICES 2012
PRICE LIST FOR 2012

You are trusting me with a valued friend!
Whilst in my care, your dogs are treated with respect and affection. We always work at your dogs pace and this is especially important with nervous or elderly dogs & puppies. If your pet is especially nervous and/or not used to the grooming process we will adapt the procedures to suit and may suggest you assist by holding the dog for nails & ears. We encourage dogs to free stand (rather than be harnessed) they are NEVER muzzled by us. We prefer to let them wander free whilst waiting for collection, in our safe garden or usually they prefer to lie with me. We NEVER leave them unattended especially on the table (yes, it does happen)We use hand dryers (not cage or cabinet) and respect the noise levels.
Please feel free at any time to ask questions or ask for help if you need it. I will willing show you how to brush in the best way for your breed and I can supply you with a fact sheet that will also include supplier details for equipment etc.
Please ensure you look after your dogs grooming needs between visits to ensure he stays mat free and comfortable.
I will give you feedback after every groom and if there is any part you need explained or any thing about the groom you are not happy with please let me know at the time. I can alter the trim (if its a reasonable request at the time) or make notes for the next visit.
I work on a timed appointment that is tailored to your dog. It is usually between 1.5 - 3 hours but will obviously vary from breed to breed and also on styles. A longer, sculptured style will take longer than a shorter, pet trim. Size (of the dog and coat) and co operation, and temperament are also factors.
Dogs are only kept here for the duration of the groom.I will give you an approximate time, and then let you know 15 -30mins nearer to the end of the groom what time you can collect your dog. If you are going to be running late please let me know as I charge for dog sitting.

- Poorly socialised, difficult, uncontrollable, unco-operative dogs (I reserve the right to refuse to groom any dog at risk of harming itself, or anyone at Mutzz Nutz. If your dog comes to me and displays serious aggression, the grooming session will be finished immediately and you will be asked to collect him/her. The miniature wool/curly/ fleece coats are FROM £35. They are supposedly NON MOULTING with terrific heavy undercoats. The LARGE Size are FROM £50. They can take at least 1.5hrs to 2 hours just to bath & dry! They are very high maintenance and good home maintenance is essential unless you want a shaved rabbit.
You will need to keep regular visits to Mutzz Nutz every 6 -8 week, unless you are an experienced home groomer. A sculptured style on a large Doodle will take 3 hours minimum on the table. The minimum price is £50. Any thing after that is charged by the hour.
Late cancellations of less than 72 hours or 'no show'
I realise things happen but if I could request 72 hours cancellation of appointment it would enable me to reset the appointment.
A no show is simply rude and a waste of time to me ( lost income) so please advise me if you change your mind and cannot keep the appointment.
Reasons why your dog's haircut costs more than yours.
- Your hairdresser doesn't give you a bath and a manicure or pull your ear hair out!
- You don't try to bite or scratch your hairdresser, even when the groomer is gentle
- You don't wiggle, spin or try to jump out of the hairdresser's chair.
- Your hairdresser only cuts the top of your head, not your whole body (and certainly not around your sensitive areas!)
- Your hairdresser doesn't have to wipe weeks or months worth of eye bogie's out from your eyes that are so stuck in, that the area is sore to touch.
- Your hairdresser doesn't have to shave out dried poo from under your tail or pick off gunky, sticky slimy stuff from little boys bits!
- Your hairdresser doesn't pluck and clean your ears, that are so encrusted with wax it takes half a pack of cotton wool pads to clean it out.
- You don't poo or pee while you are getting your hair cut, outside we don't mind but not up the grooming room wall or on the floor.....yep, and even on the table.
- Your hairdresser doesn't have to deal with fleas, ticks or other nasties
- You don't go 6 weeks (and the rest...) without brushing or washing your hair.
- You don't try to bite the clippers, scissors, brush, nail clippers or dryer.
- It doesn't take 3 people to trim your nails or two to hold you on the table because you are poorly socialised with grooming.."he doesn't like me brushing him at home! "
- Your hairdresser doesn't have to de-matt your hair (sometimes 5 or 6 months worth of matted, dirty, smelly coat, encrusted with poo, plant debris, grease & food)
- Your hairdresser doesn't have to have their equipment serviced or replaced after your overdue visit. Matted hair blunts our equipment and adds to the cost. Have you seen the price of clipper blades?!
- Drying your hair doesn't blow the hair around, that then sticks on all of the surfaces including all the nooks and crannies. Just a quick tidy can take over an hour and that's just to make a clean space for the next customer!
- You don't howl or bark while having all this done!
